The curry sauce was different back then. Now you buy a large tube for 750 ml for the price. Nothing more recommendable

What can I say big, this is the best currywurst in all of Berlin ...

An absolute must: Every trip to and via Berlin is planned so that I get my currywurst at least once. The sometimes rather long queues shouldn't put you off, orders are processed so quickly that it doesn't take long anyway. (And you were used to eating without tables here until a few years ago anyway. It always worked - also works again during Corona)

It's a shame when you think back to the delicious currywurst and homemade sauce from the past. The sausage was dry and almost without taste, the once so delicious sauce became cheap ketchup, the bun was also fresher and crunchy. For the friendly service there is still 2 stars, zero for the food.

Don't let the tourists put you off. The curry has been an absolute icon among sausages for so many years for a reason :)

It's just a currywurst ... but you get your order quickly and everything is right. Personally, I think the ketchup is good because it doesn't contain a lot of frills, but tastes like a tomato.

As a child from the Ruhr area, there are only 4 "stars, because there is nothing like the currywurst in the pot. Still, super tasty and you get a lot for your money. Highly recommended.

The currywurst itself is very good, but curry sauce and salad are only 08/15 ... 😉 Although good, it was better. But all in all it's okay.

Can't really understand the hype about the currywurst at this takeout. The sausage itself is good, but the sauce only tastes like tomato ketchup from the wholesale market. French fries were hot and nice and crispy. The 2 stars are only there because of the fresh preparation and good quality. What is quite unique is the location under your old steel S-Bahn bridge.

I have to remember to sprinkle 'curry' on my American hotdog the next 4th of July. Totally awesome concept and flavorful. Imagine this trick has spurred a whole genre of hotdog shops in Berlin. I'm taking this one home. Too easy

We came to vacation in Berlin from Thursday 13.8.20 - 17.8.20 and the last stop was konopkes snack, we originally traveled from Switzerland. And heard from you on TV and youtube. The food was amazing! really the best curry sausage from Berlin. Come back next time!

Nice and quick service, also friendly staff. Flavor, however, totally standard. Which is supposed to mean that it wasn't quite good. I expected a lot and thought it would be a special currywurst, but I would have got it at many other takeaways.

I was really disappointed! I came here specially to try their different levels of spiciness. When ordering I was not given the opportunity to choose. I actually had to ask if I can get the spiciest. The lady at the country just mumbled in a rude way ‘only from 1-4, tell it to my colleague at the pickup station.’ So I did tell the lady at the pickup station I would like level 4 (apparently 280,000 SHU according to their website). All she did was pour a little bit of powder on top, which tasted like a mic of sweet paprika and a bit of cayenne pepper. It was not spicy at all! So I went back and asked for the spiciest they have. All they gave me was another little pour of that powder. No hot sauces nothing! All in all, really bad customer service and false advertisement. Not worth it at all!

What can I say? Berlin cultural asset !!! Much better for me than Curry36. French fries are very tasty and then comes this incredibly delicious currywurst, I always like to go after work.

Did not expect anything special, but man, was I mistaken. The sauce was really awesome, goes amazingly with the no caseing sausage. Love the crispy fries, nothing is worse than wobbly fries.

The snack or better the currywurst is overrated. Only the fries were very tasty and the drinks cheap. At least on that day, the currywurst was definitely not convincing. For us, the sausage just seemed to have been fried too long. The standard sauce was also nothing special.

Well, it's a currywurst. I like currywurst, so recommending this place is a no brainer. Their topping sauce is very good and there's mayo with the fries, but to be honest I wouldn't queue for it more than a few minutes. It's good, but not that special. On the other hand, despite their fame, the prices are reasonable, so yes, by all means, go there and try the most famous currywurst in the world.

Horrible service! Great Currywurst, tastes as good as any other, nothing special here. The service is classic east German style disrespecting the customer and making sure you have a bad time. I asked why they charge 50 cents for ketchup, the two cashier's serving me laughed at my face wouldn't give any kind of statement. If you want modern service with your 7€ menu of street food, go some place else.

overrated, "original" currywurst that i avoided even back in the days of gdr.

Historical snack bar which offers different varieties of sausages and French fries, being the most famous option the Currywurst. It is as good a the snack itself can give, nothing special but worth to try at least once if you pass by. They have some standing desks outside and also some covered ones with benches for the colder days.

Best in town!

Been wanting to check out this place for a while given its historical significance and ratings review. And after reading the NYT coverage on it a few days ago we decided to go. Wow. What a disappointment. There are significantly better ones around town and this is way too expensive.

Has great food, however can often be quite full as many people like it. Can actually only recommend if you can look past the waiting time and are willing to spare some time for good food ; )

Basic currywurst, I cant say the difference as a tourist for me they all taste same and is nothing special. Kind and fast service tho!
